With the latest release of Joomla version 1.6, the growth of the site has accelerated so rapidly that it has been established that the site has grown by a whopping 25% in the last 4 months itself!
The new version was released in January 10th, which quickly became the busiest day for the site. But strangely, most of the real traffic build-up was seen in the coming days and January 12th was seen as the busiest day with a third of a million visitors.
And what’s even more surprising is that the surge in traffic hasn’t even subsided yet! In the last month, Joomla’s website attracted over 7.5 million visitors. Joomla even had inquiries from Twitter about the browsers and platforms that people use to reach their site.
